Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting a full-time Warehouse Operative for a busy construction materials distribution business based in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.

This is a hands-on role involving warehouse work, order preparation, stock handling and some computer-based administration. The role includes regular manual handling and lifting of heavy materials.

Main Duties

• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
• Moving and storing construction materials safely
• Checking incoming and outgoing stock
• Using a computer system for stock, orders and general warehouse administration
• Carrying out stock checks
• Preparing goods for collection and delivery
• Assisting customers and delivery drivers
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• General warehouse duties as required

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be physically capable of regular manual handling and heavy lifting
• Be comfortable using a computer and basic computer systems
• Have a good level of spoken and written English, sufficient to understand safety instructions, communicate with customers and colleagues, and complete computer-based tasks
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Already have the legal right to work in Ireland

Desirable

• Previous warehouse experience
• Counterbalance forklift licence/experience
• Manual Handling certification
• Experience working with building or construction materials

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay

Competitive rate of pay, depending on experience.
