Warehouse Operative

Overview:

We are an established food-manufacturing business supplying quality nuts, seeds, dried fruit and other ambient food products throughout the UK and Ireland. We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team.

Main responsibilities:

• Picking of raw materials and finished products accurately
• Preparing and loading customer orders for dispatch
• Receiving incoming deliveries and checking goods against documentation
• Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, keeping operations on track
• Moving, storing and rotating stock correctly
• Completing stock and traceability records
• Operating a counterbalance forktruck, pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• Following food-safety, allergen and health-and-safety procedures
• Supporting production and other departments when required
• Carrying out stock counts and reporting discrepancies

We are looking for:

• A dependable person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous warehouse or food-manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential
• Forklift experience or a current forklift licence is desirable but not essential
• Good timekeeping and attendance
• Basic numeracy and the ability to complete paperwork accurately

Full training will be provided.

Candidates should be aware that this is an active role involving lifting, which includes the safe handling of sacks and boxes weighing up to 25kg, where appropriate and in line with company procedures.

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm
• Fridays 8.15am - 2.15pm
