Warehouse Operative

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities

• Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
• Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately.
• Prepare shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products in accordance with customer specifications and company standards.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure all items meet safety and quality requirements before dispatch.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and documenting all transactions properly.
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when necessary.

Experience

• Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with materials handling, stock management, and order fulfillment processes.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is preferred; certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks.
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures along with attention to detail for quality control purposes.

Pay: £29,432.00-£31,512.00 per year
