About the Role
Quest Employment is currently recruiting dependable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join a busy operation based in Wellingborough. This position is key to ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and distribution of goods, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all warehouse activities.

Key Duties

Warehouse Operations

• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely where trained and authorised.
• Pick orders accurately using scanners, pick sheets, or warehouse systems.
• Pack items securely and prepare them for dispatch in line with company standards.
• Load and unload deliveries in a safe and efficient manner.
• Receive incoming goods, check for accuracy, and book stock into the system.
• Store products in the correct warehouse locations.
• Replenish stock to ensure picking areas remain fully stocked.
• Assist with stock checks and inventory control tasks.
• Support stock transfers, reorganisations, and general warehouse improvements.
• Handle goods carefully to reduce damage and waste.
• Meet individual and team targets while maintaining quality standards.

Health & Safety and Compliance

• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Report any accidents, hazards, or near misses immediately.
• Use equipment and machinery responsibly and safely.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised.
• Wear the correct PPE at all times.
• Adhere to operational procedures and quality standards.

Teamwork and Communication

• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily targets.
• Communicate clearly regarding stock issues, damages, or discrepancies.
• Provide support across different departments when required.
• Show a proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of picking, packing, goods-in, and dispatch processes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.

Desirable

• Experience using MHE such as PPT, LLOP, Reach Truck, Counterbalance, or VNA.
• Familiarity with handheld scanners and warehouse systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of stock control procedures.
• Experience in a high-volume warehouse environment.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
