Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative required by industry leading company.

Based in GL2, Gloucester –

The position is full time –

Hours are Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday to 16:30.

Lunch break – 1 hour

The successful candidate tasks will be –

• Picking and packing orders accurately.
• Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles either manually or using a forklift.
• Basic modification/assembly including sheet metal drilling.
• Making up of stock products.
• Control and checking of goods received.
• Putting away of stock in the correct location.
• Assisting with stock checks as required
• Preparation of goods for despatch.
• Quality control checks on components, to support goods-inwards inspection.
• Liaise with and support Team Leader on customer returns and quality issues.
• General good housekeeping – keeping the warehouse in a clean and tidy state.
• Comply with the companies Health and Safety process and ensure a safe working environment.
• Undertake other ad hoc duties as requested.
• Colleceting and moving stock between two warehouses in Gloucester so a clean driving licence would be desirable.
• Occassional delivery of goods to customers in company Luton van.

Whilst full training, where necessary, will be given it would be advantageous to have experience in some or all the following:

• Counterbalance forklift certificate (Not in House).
• A background within a similar role in a warehouse or equivalent environment.
• Organised, punctual, and reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
• Clear understanding of written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative.
• Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
