Salary: £28,000–£35,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm

Heppelthwaite - Red Van Plumbers is looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our team in Bourne End.

The role is based in our shared Evans Group warehouse and will involve taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of stock, deliveries and materials.

Much of the role will support our underfloor heating division, Heated Floors, while also carrying out warehouse duties for Red Van Plumbers. Both businesses operate from the same site and are part of the Evans Group.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse
• Receiving and checking deliveries
• Putting stock away and keeping storage areas organised
• Picking and preparing materials for jobs and customer orders
• Carrying out stock checks
• Updating stock and order information on internal systems
• Supporting Heated Floors with underfloor heating materials and orders
• Supporting Red Van Plumbers with materials required by engineers
• Helping customers and suppliers when required
• Keeping the warehouse safe, clean and well organised

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, practical and happy to take responsibility for keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

You should be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Well organised
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to manage several tasks at once
• Confident using basic computer systems
• Happy to communicate with colleagues, suppliers and customers
• Willing to learn and take ownership of the role

Previous warehouse experience would be useful, but it is not essential for the right person.

Experience in a warehouse, stock room, builders’ merchant, trade counter or similar environment would be an advantage.
