Warehouse Operative

Are you a physically fit individual looking for a role in warehousing with a growing company? Our business is expanding and we have relocated to a larger premises based in Winkfield, Windsor. We are on the lookout for new staff members to join our team to support the warehouse function on a full-time permanent basis and a starting salary of £29,000 per year. Core hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute unpaid break. You will be

· Able to travel to Winkfield, Windsor (it is quite remote). Please research travel suitability before applying.

· Trustworthy and reliable- our jobs are scheduled in advance which is harder to manage when a member of the team is down. However, we do understand that things happen sometimes that are out of your control!

· Flexibility to stay past core work hours where required by the company to load/unload vans that have arrived back late (overtime is paid for any hours exceeding your 8hr day).

· Desire to continuously learn and improve on new and existing skills.

· Physically fit/healthy- this role is physically demanding, and you will be “on the go” from the start of your day until the end of your day.

· Have a forklift license or be willing to attend training provided by the company.

Your Key Duties & Responsibilities

· Picking stock to check out of the warehouse and replenishing stock once checked back into the warehouse once cleaned and maintained. Scanner system provided.

· Using our job system to pre-empt workload for the day i.e. jobs required to be picked for the day, jobs coming back in that will need to be quarantined for cleaning and maintaining.

· Loading and unloading our vehicles for jobs booked for that day.

· Replenishing job kits, install packs and tubs of hoses to go back out onto jobs to support installations.

· Awareness of warehouse stock levels and highlighting where items may be low for replenishing.

· Keeping your workstations organised, clean and tidy to minimise health & safety risks and ensure streamlined operations.

· Cleaning and maintaining stock that arrives back from jobs, such as tightening screws, replacing kickboards, completing any repair work required and cleaning the product to go back into stock levels. Training will be provided.

· General health & safety awareness. Following all health & safety procedures and highlighting any potential issues or risks swiftly via our See It, Sort It, Report It approach.

· Using forklifts safely to move stock around the warehouse. If you have a driving license, driving our vehicles safely into the warehouse to be picked.
