Warehouse Operative

We’re a fast-growing wholesale distributor supplying cleaning chemicals, catering disposables and kitchen equipment to some of the UK’s leading hospitality and foodservice businesses — and we need a reliable, hard-working Warehouse Operative to help keep things moving.

This isn’t a sit-down job. If you like being on your feet, keeping busy and taking pride in a job well done, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing:

• Receiving, checking and coding incoming stock — and flagging anything that’s damaged or short

• Picking and packing orders for carrier deliveries and our own drivers

• Helping load the vans and getting our drivers out on time

• Unloading incoming deliveries safely using the forklift

• Completing daily forklift checks

• Regular stock counts to keep our inventory accurate

• Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and safe

• Stepping in to cover driving duties when needed

Experience:

• Warehouse: 2 years (preferred)

• Stock control systems: 1 year (preferred)

Licence / Certification:

• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential — we’re happy to consider candidates without one)

What we’re looking for:

Someone who’s physically fit, switched on and takes pride in accuracy. A forklift licence is a bonus but not a dealbreaker — what matters more is attitude, reliability and attention to detail.
