Warehouse Operative

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Vegetable Prep Room Operative, and order picker to join our evening team. This role is essential in ensuring that our prep room operates smoothly by preparing high-quality vegetables for customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the overall success of our high standards in quality.

Duties

• Prepare and wash vegetables according to specified standards and recipes.
• Assist in the organisation of the prep room, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety protocols
• Maintain an inventory of vegetables, reporting any shortages or quality issues to the manager.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and kitchen practices.

Skills

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• A team player who can collaborate effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.

Driving licence required due to location.

Heavy lifting involved Max 25kilos

Shifts start at 5pm to midnight or finish every Saturday off and a day off mid week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
