Warehouse Operative – Early Morning Parcel Sorting

We have an opportunity for a motivated and dependable individual to join our parcel distribution depot as an Early Morning Warehouse Operative.

Our warehouse team plays an important role in preparing thousands of parcels for delivery. Every morning, incoming freight needs to be unloaded, scanned, organised and allocated to the correct delivery routes before our drivers leave the depot.

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, works well with others and can maintain a good pace in a busy environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who prefers early morning working hours and enjoys finishing their working day while most people are just getting started!

What Does the Job Involve?

You'll be working alongside our warehouse team to ensure parcels are processed correctly and efficiently each morning.

Your main tasks will include:

• Unloading freight from incoming vehicles
• Using scanning equipment to process and identify parcels
• Separating and organising freight according to delivery areas
• Ensuring parcels are placed in the correct designated locations
• Helping prepare delivery routes for our drivers
• Assisting with vehicle loading when needed
• Moving and handling parcels safely throughout the warehouse
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
• Supporting colleagues to complete the morning sort within operational deadlines
• Following workplace safety guidelines and depot procedures

The work is physically active and involves regular lifting, carrying, walking and standing throughout the shift.

Shift Times & Working Arrangements

This is an early morning position, so availability for a 3:50am start is essential.

• Start Time: Approximately 3:50am
• Finish Time: Usually around 9:00am
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 25 hours
• Hourly Rate: €14.15
• Additional working hours may be offered when parcel volumes increase
• Shift lengths and finishing times may change depending on daily operational requirements
• Working days and roster arrangements will be confirmed during recruitment
• Hours worked are monitored and recorded using our electronic timekeeping system

Who Would Suit This Position?

You don't need previous experience in parcel delivery or logistics to apply. We're more interested in finding someone with a good attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

• Enjoy physical, hands-on tasks
• Be comfortable working at a steady pace in a busy warehouse
• Have good attention to detail when sorting and handling freight
• Be capable of lifting and moving parcels safely
• Communicate well with colleagues and supervisors
• Be willing to help wherever needed during the morning operation
• Take workplace safety seriously
• Be comfortable following instructions and established procedures
• Have reliable transport or suitable arrangements to attend early morning shifts

Experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics or similar work would be beneficial, but is not required.

Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
