Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our Stores team at Dutypoint. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the warehouse, with responsibility for receiving, picking, packing and preparing goods while maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory records and carry out regular stock checks.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and other equipment provided.
• Support with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.

Knowledge and skills

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is desirable not essential.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Previous warehouse, logistics or stores experience is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience of stores or warehouse work is advantageous.
