Warehouse Operative/Driver

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and motivated Warehouse Operative / Driver to join our Plumbase branch.

The role will involve carrying out the day-to-day warehouse duties required to ensure the branch operates efficiently, with the successful candidate also required to carry out customer deliveries using the branch’s second van as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, check and put away incoming deliveries
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Load and unload deliveries safely
• Maintain an organised, clean and tidy warehouse
• Assist customers with the collection of goods
• Check stock and report any discrepancies
• Ensure goods are stored safely and securely
• Carry out deliveries to customers using the branch van when required
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and professionally
• Complete relevant delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required
• Carry out general warehouse duties and assist with the day-to-day running of the branch

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous warehouse or trade counter experience would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous experience driving a Luton type van
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy and bulky goods
• Good attention to detail when picking and checking orders
• Customer-focused with a professional and friendly manner
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Flexible and willing to carry out deliveries when required

Experience within plumbing, heating, bathrooms, renewables or air conditioning would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a varied role within a busy branch, offering the opportunity to become an important part of the day-to-day operation of the business.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
