Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced warehouse operative to join a multi-skilled team at an exciting time for the company.

Responsibilities and Duties

· To ensure that goods are received in accurately, stored safely and picked accurately to orders in a timely fashion.

· Ensure a clean and safe working environment.

· To work as part of a flexible team to undertake activities as directed.

· To oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely receipt of goods.

· Take part in the arrangement of the goods within the warehouse, maintaining stock rotation first expired, first out i.e. FEFO (shortest date first).

· Take part in day to day temperature checks, record and file them.

· Ensuring the cleanliness of the working environment.

· Taking part in stock control and processing orders.

· Keeping stock control up to date.

· Working as part of a team.

· To follow warehouse procedures.

· Any other duty that is asked within the warehouse environment.

· Follow HACCP procedures

Qualifications and Skills

· Fork Truck Licence : Reach & Counter Balance

· Experience of working in a warehouse environment for a minimum of 3 years.

· Numerically strong.

· Local logistics applications

· Distribution principles

· Health & Safety Knowledge

· Work using own initiative

· Customer centric

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
