Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Salary: £30,000 per year, rising to £32,500 following successful completion of a three-month probation period.

We’re looking for a reliable, organised Warehouse Operative to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll help keep the warehouse running smoothly by preparing orders accurately, handling deliveries efficiently and maintaining a safe working environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Picking, cutting, labelling and preparing customer orders to the required instructions.
• Picking and packing orders for dispatch.
• Operating warehouse machinery, including the cutting machine.
• Operating a forklift truck to move stock and load and unload deliveries.
• Checking incoming deliveries and labelling stock as required.
• Carrying out stock checks, storing goods in the correct locations and keeping stock records up to date.
• Completing health and safety checks on warehouse areas, racking, forklifts, ladders, emergency lighting and cutting equipment.
• Reporting faults, hazards or concerns promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
• Working with drivers, fitters, office colleagues and customers to ensure orders and deliveries run smoothly.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe, and supporting other warehouse duties as required.

• Previous warehouse, machinery or forklift experience would be an advantage.

Pay

Your starting salary will be £30,000 per year, increasing to £32,500 per year after successful completion of your three-month probation period.
