Warehouse Operative/Picker and Packer

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards within a warehouse environment.

Duties

• Accurately pack products for shipment, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit.
• Perform quality control checks to verify that all items meet company standards before packing.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
• Load and unload items from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Assist in picking and packing orders as required, maintaining an organised workspace.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely when necessary, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area, including proper storage of materials.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve packing processes.

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control standards.
