What they need
About Us
Good Ventures is a cosmetics manufacturer specialising in natural and organic skin, body and haircare.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to use healthy beauty products, and we are proud to make world-class, handmade products that our customers love.
We are a growing business with a close-knit team, and we are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that team and develop and grow with the company.
The Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our amazing warehouse team.
This is a hands-on role within a small, busy warehouse environment. You will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching products, as well as keeping the warehouse organised and running efficiently.
We are particularly interested in someone who has previous pick and pack experience and is comfortable working in a warehouse where stock is managed manually rather than through barcode scanning systems.
You will need to be self-motivated, organised and have a good eye for detail. You should be comfortable working methodically at a fast pace while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Most importantly, we are looking for somebody who will get involved, take responsibility for their work and care about what we do.
The role is physically active and will involve regular lifting and moving of stock, so you will need to be physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock.
- Manually locating and identifying stock within the warehouse.
- Moving and storing products in the correct warehouse locations.
- Ensuring products are in good condition and reporting any discrepancies or damaged stock.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate manual handling techniques.
- Moving pallets using a forklift truck — training can be provided if required.
- Maintaining accurate and organised stock.
- Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and well organised.
- Cleaning and maintaining warehouse equipment to the required standards.
- Following all company warehouse procedures and standards.
- Consistently working to good standards of health and safety.
- Following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Working closely with the rest of the team to ensure orders and warehouse tasks are completed efficiently.
- Taking on additional responsibilities and developing your skills as you become more experienced.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous warehouse and/or pick and pack experience.
- Is comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Has experience working with manually managed stock and does not rely on barcode scanning systems.
- Is organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
- Can work at a good pace without compromising accuracy.
- Is self-motivated and able to use their initiative.
- Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic.
- Is physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and moving of stock.
- Takes pride in keeping their working environment clean, tidy and organised.
- Is happy to get involved and help wherever needed.
- Has a positive attitude and is keen to learn.
- Wants to develop their skills and grow with a company, rather than simply looking for their next job.
Development & Progression
This is an opportunity to join a growing company where you can develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn how the business operates and become a valued member of the team. As you develop your knowledge and experience, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities within the warehouse and wider operation.
If you are hardworking, reliable, keen to learn and want to grow alongside a business, we'd love to hear from you.
