Warehouse Operative/Picker

In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing goods for shipment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Your attention to detail will ensure that products are accurately picked, safely loaded, and ready for delivery. This position will also involve some driving as and when required, our insurance cover is over 25's only.

Responsibilities

• Carefully pick items from storage locations using warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Pack products securely, preparing them for shipment while adhering to quality control standards
• Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques or forklifts, ensuring safe handling of heavy or bulky items
• Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
• Stock shelves and organise inventory to optimise space utilization and facilitate quick access
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling techniques
• Valid forklift certification is preferred; experience operating forklifts is highly desirable
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking, stock control, and shipping documentation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
• Excellent attention to detail for quality control checks and accurate order fulfillment
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, load, and unload for extended periods

Pay: £12.71 per hour
