Warehouse Operator - Afternoon shift

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operator to join our freight forwarding team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe and efficient handling, receiving, checking, staging and dispatch of freight. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and understand the importance of accuracy, safety and meeting deadlines.

Shifts
Mon - Friday
2:00pm - 10:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check incoming freight
• Pick, pack, label and prepare freight for dispatch
• Load and unload containers, trucks and other vehicles
• Sort, stage and consolidate freight for delivery
• Operate order pickers and forklifts
• Assist with container devanning and loading
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation
• Safely handle cartons, pallets and other freight
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with workplace safety requirements
• Report damaged, missing or incorrectly labelled freight
• Follow company procedures and all workplace health and safety requirements

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and committed to getting the job done
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Able to work in a busy freight/warehouse environment
• Safety-conscious and attentive to detail
• Comfortable following instructions and working independently when required
• Experienced in warehouse, logistics or freight forwarding environments

A current LO licence and experience operating an order picker is ESSENTIAL.
