Warehouse Operator

About the role

Robertson Bathware is seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operator to join our team at our Tamahere, Waikato facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that goods are handled safely, stored correctly, and dispatched promptly to meet our customers' demands. Your contributions will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction levels.

What you'll be doing

• Receiving and unloading incoming goods, verifying contents against purchase orders and documentation
• Accurately picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch according to customer specifications
• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling machinery safely and effectively
• Scanning and labelling products to maintain accurate inventory records within our warehouse management system
• Organising and storing goods in designated locations to optimise storage space and facilitate easy retrieval
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory counts to ensure accuracy
• Loading goods onto delivery vehicles and securing items appropriately to prevent damage during transit
• Identifying and reporting damaged, defective or missing items promptly
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily targets and support peak operational periods

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing and inventory management tasks
• Good physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling duties regularly
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work methodically and efficiently
• Reliable and punctual attendance record
• Ability to work as part of a team and respond positively to supervision
• Basic computer literacy for use of warehouse management systems
• Health and safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands
