Warehouse Operator

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our Manufacturing team at New Image Group.

About the role – Te tūranga mahi

As a Warehouse Operator, you’ll be responsible for managing product and raw material movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with RMP standards and SOPs. You’ll operate warehouse equipment safely, keep the work environment clean and organised, and work closely with production teams to ensure timely stock availability.

This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing – Ngā kawenga matua

• Receiving, inspecting and putting away incoming goods
• Picking, staging and dispatching materials and finished products
• Completing stock movements, cycle counts and stocktakes
• Checking product codes, batches, quantities, expiry dates and stock condition
• Operating forklifts and warehouse equipment safely when trained and authorised
• Completing accurate paper and electronic warehouse records
• Keeping warehouse, yard and staging areas clean, safe and organised
• Reporting stock discrepancies, damage, hazards or quality concerns promptly
• Working closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Export and other Supply Chain teams

You will bring:

• Warehouse, inventory, manufacturing or distribution experience
• Proven forklift experience
• Experience using pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment
• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Basic computer skills and confidence learning warehouse systems
• The ability to follow procedures and complete accurate records
• A responsible and safety-focused approach
• Clear communication and good teamwork
• A willingness to learn, ask questions and accept coaching

Essential

• Forklift operator experience
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities
• Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment
• Ability to lift up to 25kg safely

Desirable

• Experience in FMCG, dairy, food or another regulated manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Current forklift certificate or licence

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse role involving standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive material handling. You will need to be able to safely handle products weighing up to 25kg using appropriate lifting methods.
