Warehouse Operator

Position Overview:

Pick, Pack and Ship product to Customers/Distributors on the specific dates required as per the orders raised by Sales. While also working to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, carrying our cycle counts, receiving in finished goods stock from outside vendors, and our inside Packing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain stock in warehouse/warehouse layout. Operate FIFO system. Updated finished goods Stock Report to be sent to Accounts Department every Monday morning.

· Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards and Identify Safety Concerns as they arise and report them to the Safety Officer in the Department.

· Maintain general contact with carriers to ensure deliveries made/work with Warehouse Administrator to ensure this happens.

· Ensure all orders raised by Sales are dispatched to Customers/Distributors as per instructions.

· Ensure checks carried out on forklift trucks and ensure all equipment operates safely and to specification.

· Investigations into stock errors/Stock Takes. Carry out Cycle Counts on a weekly basis and send results on to Account Department.

· Attend and participate in Daily Warehouse Meeting, carried out every morning, reporting any issues of concern regarding safety, work load, maintenance issues, etc.

· Recommend measure to improve work methods, suggest changes to increase efficiency of Department.

· Identify Cost Saving Opportunities.

· Close communication with all other Department, Production, Safety and Quality.

· Ensure Warehouse is tidy at all times.

· Warehouse Housekeeping audit to be carried out every two weeks and results posted up on board.

· All other tasks in warehouse when required.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment

· Forklift Qualified Preferred

· Experience with ERP Systems such as JDE
