Warehouse Operator

Job purpose: Responsible for performing functions in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Provides forklift material-handling services for manufacturing department and receiving and shipping areas of the facility
• Ability to work with other employees under his section
• Shipping orders through UPS and FedEx
• Repack of 1kilo or more
• To adhere to cGMP and FSSC 22000 standards.

Skills and Essential Functions:

• Responsible for ensuring that warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and profitably, including shipping and receiving
• Knowledge in operating the warehouse forklifts
• Proceeds safely to assigned area to pull, load and move materials
• Ability to identify and transport material to and from storage areas
• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material to and from designated areas within the facility
• Ability to keep track of all goods that are shipped to different purchasers
• Ability to keep track and receive items used in the manufacturing process
• Ability to lift heavy items or move large stacks with a forklift
• Responsible for checking shipments as they come into the company
• Responsible for checking damaged goods, record or process shipment making sure it goes to the appropriate recipient within the company
• Ability to coordinate shipping and customer delivery activities from the company’s shipping dock
• Prepares bill of landing for inter-warehouse transfers

Position Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma and/or Trade School Diploma. AA or BS Degree Preferred
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a FDA / cGMP manufacturing facility
• Skills: Computer knowledge, good organizational skills, good understanding of cGMP and FDA Regulations

Pay: $25.00 per hour
