Warehouse Operator

Job Overview

We supply safety footwear to businesses across the UK and Europe, and we’re looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team at our Chadderton warehouse. You’ll help keep stock moving accurately and orders going out on time.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, check and put away incoming stock.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Operate a forklift as required.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and the warehouse remains organised.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times.
• Ensure warehouse aisles, work areas and storage locations are kept clear and accessible.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stock control.
• Ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures
• Deal with day-to-day warehouse issues and resolve problems efficiently.
• Work in a team with the other members of staff to achieve company goals .

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in materials handling and stock management
• Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts confidently and safely
• Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment or understanding structural aspects of warehouse operations
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently and work in physically demanding conditions
• Strong attention to detail during picking & packing processes to ensure accuracy in shipments
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety standards

Pay: £24,200.00-£26,500.00 per year
