Warehouse Package Sorter / Dispatch Assistant

Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour

Schedule: Early Morning | 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM Hours: Approximately 2–3 hours per shift, with potential for additional hours

Location: Southfield, MI

SWI Transport LLC is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hardworking individual to join our growing package delivery operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for early morning part-time work with the potential to grow into a leadership or management position.

We are not simply looking for someone to sort packages. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and wants to become a valuable part of our operation.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn our dispatch and warehouse operations, take on additional responsibilities, and potentially advance into a supervisory or management role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepare the warehouse for daily driver dispatch.

• Presort packages, bags, and boxes into designated delivery routes and staging areas. - Organize packages to ensure an efficient and accurate loading process.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• Identify and communicate missing, misplaced, or incorrectly sorted packages.

• Work independently and efficiently to complete sorting before drivers arrive.

Additional Responsibilities (Potential Third Hour)

Depending on operational needs, additional time may be available to:

• Assist delivery drivers with locating missing packages.

• Support dispatchers during the driver loading process.

• Help verify route organization and package counts.

• Troubleshoot package discrepancies. - Help maintain an organized and efficient dispatch process.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are a MUST.

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. - Able to work independently without constant supervision.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Able to lift, move, and organize packages weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Previous warehouse, package sorting, logistics, or delivery experience preferred but not required.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
