A national distribution company with over 20 years in the commercial vehicle hardware industry is seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Picker & Packer to join their close‑knit team in Prestons.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on work, can operate independently, and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and teamwork.

About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this is a full‑time, Monday–Friday position (8:00am–4:30pm).
You will be responsible for the efficient picking, packing and dispatch of truck, bus and 4x4 hardware and suspension components, while maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.

The role requires someone who can work unsupervised, solve problems on the job, and contribute positively to a small team that values hard work and having fun while getting the job done.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely picking and packing of orders
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
• Unpacking containers and organising stock
• Processing stock transfers and branch allocations
• Consolidating and maintaining stock levels
• Inspecting inventory for damage or faults
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse
• Participating in regular stocktakes
• Providing helpful customer service when required
• Working independently and managing daily tasks without supervision
• Following warehouse procedures, including basic computer processes

What You’ll Need

• Forklift licence (essential)
• Ability to lift up to 15kg packages safely
• Previous warehouse experience (automotive or mechanical parts highly regarded)
• Strong communication skills and good English
• Computer literacy (Word & Excel essential; Exonet experience an advantage)
• Reliable, punctual and committed to Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm
• Ability to work unsupervised and stay productive
• Proactive, problem‑solving mindset
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
