Warehouse Picker/Packer

Duties

• Efficiently pick items from designated storage locations using order pickers, RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and manual handling techniques.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments or move inventory within the warehouse.
• Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials while adhering to quality control standards to prevent damage during transit.
• Load and unload incoming shipments and organize stock in designated areas to optimize warehouse distribution flow.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems; conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Follow safety protocols diligently by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), practicing manual handling techniques correctly, and adhering to safety procedures during all warehouse operations.
• Assist with shipping & receiving activities by preparing orders for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and updating order fulfillment status promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including order picking & packing, stocking, quality control checks, and load & unload processes.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required; a strong understanding of safety protocols is essential.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow detailed instructions clearly.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 per week
