Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Description:

Responsible for activity related to accepting product into the building and following and enforcing the associated policies as outlined in the Receiving Programs.

Below is a list of primary job duties required for this position:

 Observes and inspects product from trailers/containers

 Perform necessary quality control checks.

 Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate inventory of goods

 Perform quality and safety inspection of delivery vehicle and goods
 Sample quality check of product from each lot/pallet

 Record all necessary data according to Receiving programs
 Use hand held scanning equipment to add or subtract product from inventory

 Spot check for quality at least 10% of each lot
 Spot check for temperature at least one item from each lot and record on paper work

 Correctly label and stack product on skid and shrink-wrap to properly secure

 Record quantity of product actually unloaded onto manifest
 Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens

 Record Seal number on PO. When available. See below for loads without seals

 Perform Trailer Audit (Verify Trailer #, Cleanliness, Condition) prior to unloading and inform supervisor of any deficiencies. This is especially important on LTL loads where no seal is available

 Assure product is transported to proper warehouse location in a timely manner

 Inform supervisor or manager of any deviations.

Performance Standards:

 100% accuracy and attention to detail.

 Shall comply with all applicable safe quality food policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

 Long periods of standing and walking on hard, concrete surfaces.

 Exposure to cold temperatures (ambient temperature).

 Exposure to dust, fumes, and wet conditions.

 Occasional lifting, up to 50Lbs to identify and inspect product.
