Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Shift Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations during designated shifts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution center activities, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain a safe and productive environment. Your leadership will drive process improvements, coordinate logistics, and support team members to meet operational goals with enthusiasm and precision. Duties

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations during your shift.
• Lead and motivate warehouse team members, providing clear managerial communication, guidance, and support to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Oversee the operation of forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems to track stock levels, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
• Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize distribution center operations.
• Coordinate logistics activities such as scheduling shipments, managing RF scanners for inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely shipping & receiving processes.
• Conduct regular safety audits, enforce safety protocols including OSHA regulations, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse operations management or as a warehouse supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with logistics processes including shipping & receiving procedures and distribution center operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks regularly; experience with heavy lifting equipment operation is advantageous.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
