Warehouse Shipping Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Shipping Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, processing, documenting, and coordinating outbound shipments. This position helps ensure customer orders are picked, packed, labeled, documented, and shipped accurately and on schedule.

The Shipping Specialist works closely with Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and applicable carriers to maintain shipment accuracy, inventory integrity, and a safe and organized warehouse environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Review customer orders and shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness.

· Pick, verify, pack, label, stage, and prepare products for outbound shipment.

· Verify product numbers, quantities, and shipping information against orders and supporting documentation.

· Prepare and process shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required shipping documents.

· Coordinate outbound shipments with parcel, LTL, freight, and other approved carriers.

· Schedule or assist with carrier pickups as required.

· Track outgoing shipments and maintain accurate shipping records.

· Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or improperly packaged products.

· Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies, shortages, damages, and carrier-related issues.

· Accurately record product movement within applicable inventory and warehouse systems.

· Maintain shipping supplies and notify management when materials need to be replenished.

· Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation as needed.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and staging area.

· Work collaboratively with other warehouse employees to meet daily order and shipping deadlines.

· Assist with general warehouse duties during periods of increased operational demand.

· Follow all Company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety requirements.

· Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs.

SAFETY & EQUIPMENT

The Warehouse Shipping Specialist is expected to follow all Company warehouse safety requirements, including applicable requirements contained in the Employee Handbook, site-specific procedures, PPE requirements, material-handling practices, and equipment safety rules.

Employees may use pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, scanners, and other warehouse equipment after receiving appropriate instruction or training. Forklifts and other powered industrial equipment may only be operated by employees who have received required training and authorization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Ability to read and accurately interpret orders, product numbers, quantities, labels, and shipping documentation.

· Basic computer and data-entry skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

· Dependable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.

· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand work instructions, safety information, labels, documentation, and other job-related materials.

Preferred

· Previous shipping, warehouse, distribution, or inventory experience.

· Experience with shipping software, ERP/WMS systems, barcode scanners, or similar technology.

· Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight, or other carrier processes.

· Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience is a plus; Company-required training and authorization still apply before operation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role requires standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement; and lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning warehouse products and packages weighing up to 75 pounds. The employee works in a warehouse/distribution environment and may be exposed to changing temperatures, noise, moving equipment, loading areas, and other conditions normally associated with warehouse operations. Employees must follow all applicable Company safety procedures, site-specific requirements, and required PPE rules.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
