Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary
Our team is looking for a Warehouse Sorter to join us. The main thing you will be doing all day is receiving packages and processing parcels. That is really it. It is a very straightforward role where you verify delivery details and keep track of shipments as they come through our doors. We want to be clear that this job is a perfect fit for everyone. Maybe you have years of previous experience. Or maybe you have absolutely zero experience. Either way, we want you here! We keep things simple and easy to understand so you can just focus on helping us make sure every box gets where it needs to go.

Responsibilities

• Accept daily deliveries from our freight drivers, carefully checking the printed labels on every single box to make sure the addresses match our tracking system perfectly.
• Sort incoming packages by zip code and put them on the correct delivery pallets.
• Scan barcodes using a handheld scanner so our customer service team always knows exactly where a shipment is located in the building.
• Keep your immediate workspace clean by breaking down empty cardboard boxes and throwing away loose shrink wrap.
• Move large or oddly shaped items over to the heavy freight area.

Qualifications
We want to emphasize strongly that we welcome both seasoned workers and complete beginners to apply, and absolutely all training is provided by our team.

• You understand the value of teamwork, always willing to lend a hand to the person working at the sorting table right next to you.
• Good time management is essential here because the delivery trucks run on a tight schedule that we need to meet.
• Simply showing up to your shift on time every single day is one of the most important things you can do for our warehouse.
• Basic problem-solving comes into play when a shipping label gets smudged and you have to figure out the correct house number.
• Bringing a good mood and a positive attitude makes the shift go by much faster for everyone on the floor.
• We look for flexibility in our staff, especially since package volumes can change heavily depending on the season or the day of the week.
• You must have a reliable way to get to work, whether that means taking the local bus, walking, or driving your own car.

Pay: $23.39 - $28.17 per hour
