Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We’re looking for someone to help keep warehouse orders moving through the day. You’ll sort incoming packages, check labels, and place items in the correct areas for the next step. Some hours are spent on your feet, moving between sorting stations and storage areas. The work is steady. You’ll also help keep your station clear and ready for the next delivery, with attention to where each package needs to go. We generally follow a set routine, though the pace can change when more deliveries arrive. It’s practical work, and you’ll be working alongside others to keep things organized. You don’t need to make complicated decisions, but you should speak up when something looks wrong.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming packages.
• Check labels and package information before moving items to the assigned area.
• Keeping the sorting station clear.
• Restock packing supplies as they run low, and let a supervisor know when something is missing or damaged.
• Moving sorted items to designated areas.
• Sometimes helping with light cleanup around the warehouse.
• Work with coworkers to keep packages moving during busier periods.

Qualifications

• You keep track of small details that others might miss, especially when the warehouse gets busy.
• Communication skills help you ask questions and pass along information when something needs attention.
• When priorities change during the day, flexibility helps you adjust without losing track of your work.
• You’re comfortable working as part of a team and treating coworkers with respect.
• Usually, you arrive on time and are ready to begin work as scheduled.
• A positive attitude helps when the pace picks up or a task takes longer than expected.
• You’re willing to learn the warehouse routine and take direction from supervisors.

Pay: $23.35 - $28.13 per hour
