Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

Carts full of product come through here all day, and this role sorts it before it moves on. You'll check items against a manifest, route them to the right bin, and keep the flow steady so nothing backs up. Some hours are quiet. Then trucks get close to loading, and the pace picks up fast. You'll need to stay accurate even when things speed up. Most of the shift is spent on your feet, moving between carts and sort lanes, and you'll usually be working near the same handful of people each time.

Responsibilities

• Sorting product by category or destination
• Scan each item against the manifest
• Staging sorted product for pickup
• Reporting damaged or mislabeled items to a lead
• Emptying bins and totes between waves, since a full bin slows down the next round
• Restock totes and supplies as needed
• Moving carts to the correct staging lane
• Helping with counts during inventory

Qualifications

• You spot a mislabeled item before it ends up in the wrong bin.
• Categories shift throughout the day, and you adjust your sorting without losing accuracy.
• You're comfortable using a scanner or basic computer system on the floor.
• When a wave of product hits all at once, you keep pace instead of falling behind.
• Standing and lifting through a full shift is something you handle without much trouble.
• Showing up on time matters here, since the line depends on a full crew.
• You stay steady rather than rushed, even when the sort area gets crowded.
• You get along easily with the same small group you work beside each shift.

Pay: $24.41 - $29.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 85.0 per week
