Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

This role is about keeping items moving through the sort process without things backing up. You'll take product off incoming carts, check it against a manifest, and route it to the right area or bin. It's repetitive in a good way, once you get the rhythm down. Some hours are slow. Others aren't, especially near shift change when trucks are loading. You're on your feet most of the day, sorting, scanning, and stacking, and you'll usually work near the same handful of people each shift. We generally keep two shifts running, and this position sits right in the middle of that flow.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming product by destination or category
• Scan items to confirm they match the manifest
• Stack and stage sorted items for pickup
• Reporting mislabeled or damaged product to a lead
• Keeping the sort area clear of clutter between waves, since a messy station slows the next batch
• Restock bins and totes as they empty out
• Moving carts to the correct staging lanes
• Assisting with counts during inventory checks

Qualifications

• You catch small labeling errors that could otherwise send an item to the wrong place.
• You follow a sort plan closely, even when the categories shift from one batch to the next.
• Basic computer or scanner use doesn't give you much trouble.
• When volume spikes without warning, you keep sorting instead of falling behind.
• Being on your feet and moving product for a full shift is something you manage fine.
• You're dependable about being at your station when your shift starts.
• Even during a rush, you stay steady rather than making careless mistakes.
• You work well alongside the same small group day after day.

Pay: $25.21 - $30.37 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 67.0 per week
