Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

This role keeps the flow of product organized before it heads to the next stage. You'll take items off incoming carts, check them against a manifest, and route them into the right bin or lane. Mornings tend to be steadier. Then trucks get close to loading and the pace jumps fast, so keeping up without losing accuracy matters. Most of the shift is spent on your feet, moving between carts and sort stations. You'll typically work near the same small group, trading off sorting and staging as product comes through.

Responsibilities

• Sorting product by category or destination
• Scan each item to confirm it matches the manifest
• Staging sorted product for pickup
• Clearing totes and bins between waves so the next batch has room
• Flag mislabeled or damaged items to a lead
• Restock bins and supplies as they run low
• Moving carts between lanes as needed
• Helping with counts during periodic inventory checks

Qualifications

• A mislabeled item rarely slips past you, even when the sort line is moving fast.
• You stick close to the sort plan, adjusting as categories shift through the day.
• Basic scanner and computer use is something you pick up without much guidance.
• When a wave of product hits all at once, you keep working steadily instead of losing your place.
• Standing and lifting through a full shift doesn't wear you down.
• You're dependable about being at your station when the shift starts, since the line needs a full crew.
• Even when things get hectic, you stay level-headed rather than rushing into mistakes.
• You work well with the same small group day after day, pitching in where it's needed.

Pay: $23.59 - $28.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 67.0 per week
