Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

Product moves through this facility in waves, and this role sorts it before it heads out. You'll take items off carts, check them against a manifest, and get them into the right bin or lane. It's steady for stretches. Then a truck's close to loading and the pace picks up fast, so you'll need to keep accuracy up even while moving quicker. Most of your shift is on your feet, sorting and staging between carts. You'll usually work near the same small crew, trading off tasks as product comes through.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming product by destination
• Scan items to verify against the manifest
• Stage sorted product for pickup
• Reporting mislabeled or damaged items to a lead
• Clearing bins and totes between waves, since a full bin slows down the next round
• Restock totes and supplies as they empty out
• Moving carts to the correct staging lane
• Assisting with counts during inventory

Qualifications

• You catch a mislabeled item before it ends up in the wrong lane.
• You stick to the sort plan even when categories shift throughout the day.
• Basic scanner and computer use doesn't give you much trouble.
• When volume jumps without warning, you keep working at a steady pace instead of losing your place.
• Standing and lifting product for a full shift is something you handle without much trouble.
• You're reliable about being at your station when the shift starts, since the sort line needs a full crew.
• Even during a rush, you stay level-headed instead of rushing through the work.
• Working near the same small group, you get along easily and pitch in where it's needed.

Pay: $22.77 - $27.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 87.0 per week
