Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help keep product flowing through the facility from unload to staging. You'll separate items by size, category, or destination, checking each one against what the system shows. Some hours crawl by quietly. Then a shipment lands and the floor shifts into gear fast, with everyone sorting to clear it before the next round arrives. You'll scan items as they pass through, pull aside anything damaged or mislabeled, and route the rest to its lane. We often see the biggest push midmorning, so pacing yourself through that stretch helps. It's active work, and you'll spend most of the shift on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Separating product by size, category, or destination
• Scan barcodes to confirm items match the system
• Pulling aside damaged or mislabeled items for review
• Loading sorted product onto carts or pallets
• Keep your lane clear and moving during busy stretches
• Restocking bins and supplies as they run low
• Light tidying around the sorting area between waves
• Flagging a backup to a team lead as soon as it starts forming

Qualifications

• You keep track of small details, which matters when product is moving fast and one wrong bin causes problems later on.
• Good communication skills help when you need to flag a backup or ask a lead a quick question mid-shift.
• You're comfortable picking up basic scanner or computer functions with a bit of practice.
• When the floor speeds up and gets busy, you're able to stay calm and keep working at a steady clip.
• Being punctual matters here, since sorting waves run on a set schedule and the team needs full coverage.
• You keep your section in order even on the days when the pace picks up.
• Showing up for your scheduled shifts consistently is something the team relies on.
• You're willing to pick up new steps whenever the sorting process shifts.

Pay: $23.63 - $28.45 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 78.0 per week
