Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help move product through the facility efficiently, from the moment it's unloaded to the moment it's staged for the next step. You'll separate items by size, category, or destination, checking each one against what the system expects. Some stretches are quiet. Then a truck pulls in and the floor gets busy fast, with everyone sorting at once to keep up. You'll scan items as they come through, set aside anything damaged or mislabeled, and route the rest to the correct lane. We often see the heaviest volume in the early afternoon, so pacing yourself through the day helps. It's active work, and you'll be on your feet moving product for most of your shift.

Responsibilities

• Sorting product by size, category, or destination
• Scan barcodes to verify counts before routing
• Setting aside damaged or mislabeled items for review
• Loading sorted product onto carts or pallets
• Keep your sorting lane clear throughout the shift
• Restocking bins and supplies as they run low
• General tidying around the sorting area between waves
• Flagging backups or issues to a team lead as they come up

Qualifications

• You keep track of small details, which matters when a lot of product is moving and one wrong bin throws things off downstream.
• Good communication skills help when you need to flag a backup or check with a team lead in the middle of a shift.
• You're comfortable picking up basic scanner or computer functions after a bit of practice.
• When the floor speeds up and things get busy, you're able to stay calm and keep working at a steady pace.
• Being punctual matters here, since sorting waves are timed and the team needs everyone in place.
• You're organized enough to keep your section in order even when the pace picks up.
• Showing up for your scheduled shifts is something the team relies on.
• You're willing to learn new steps whenever the sorting process gets adjusted.

Pay: $23.72 - $28.56 per hour

Expected hours: 34.0 – 66.0 per week
