Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help move product through the facility each shift. You'll sort incoming items by size, type, or destination and get them routed to the correct bin, cart, or line. It's repetitive work that speeds up fast once trucks start unloading. Some shifts stay quiet for hours, others keep you sorting nonstop, so the ability to multitask really does matter here. You'll also check items against manifests, pull aside anything that looks wrong, and keep your area reasonably clear between waves. Generally, you're on your feet most of the shift. It works well for someone who doesn't mind repetition and can keep track of where everything's headed, even during the busier stretches.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming packages by size, type, or destination
• Scanning items and checking them against manifests
• Routing sorted items to the correct bin, cart, or conveyor line
• Flag mismatched or damaged items rather than sending them through
• Keeping the sorting area clear between waves
• Restocking bins, carts, or labels as they run low
• Loading sorted items onto pallets or carts for the next step
• Reporting equipment issues, like a jammed conveyor, right away

Qualifications

• You keep track of where things go even when several carts are moving through at once.
• When the pace picks up, you're able to stay focused instead of getting flustered.
• Basic computer or scanner skills come in handy, since most sorting is tracked electronically.
• You communicate clearly with teammates when something needs to be flagged or rerouted.
• Being reliable and showing up for scheduled shifts is something we count on.
• If something doesn't look right with a shipment, you're willing to double check it rather than let it slide.
• A friendly team works better together, so getting along with coworkers matters here.
• You're willing to learn the sorting system quickly and adjust as volume shifts through the day.

Pay: $23.73 - $28.58 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 67.0 per week
