Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help keep product moving efficiently from receiving through to staging. You'll separate items by size, category, or destination, matching each one against what the system expects. Some hours pass quietly. Then a truck shows up and the floor kicks into high gear, with the whole team sorting at once to clear the backlog. You'll scan items as they move through, set aside anything damaged or mislabeled, and route the rest to the right lane. We often see the busiest stretch right after a delivery lands, so pacing yourself through it helps. It's active, physical work, and you'll be on your feet moving product most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Separating product by size, category, or destination
• Scan barcodes to verify items against the system
• Setting aside damaged or mislabeled product for review
• Loading sorted items onto carts or pallets for the next step
• Keep your lane clear and moving during busy stretches
• Restocking bins and supplies as they run low
• Quick tidying around the sorting area between waves
• Flagging a growing backup to a team lead right away

Qualifications

• You keep track of small details, which matters when product moves fast and one wrong bin causes issues further down the line.
• Good communication skills help when you need to flag a backup or check in with a lead mid-shift.
• You're comfortable picking up basic scanner or computer functions after a bit of practice.
• When the floor speeds up and things get busy, you're able to stay calm and keep a steady pace.
• Being punctual matters here, since sorting waves run on a schedule and the team needs everyone in place.
• You keep your section organized even on the days when the pace picks up quickly.
• Showing up consistently for your scheduled shifts is something the team relies on.
• You're willing to pick up new steps whenever the sorting process changes.

Pay: $24.30 - $29.27 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 67.0 per week
