Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help keep product flowing through the facility each shift. You'll sort incoming items by size, type, or destination, then route them along to the right bin, cart, or line. It's steady, repetitive work that picks up fast once trucks start arriving. Some shifts run quiet for a while, others keep you sorting nonstop for hours, so being able to multitask really helps. You'll also check items against manifests, set aside anything that looks off, and keep your station reasonably tidy between waves. Generally, you're on your feet for most of the shift, moving between bins and carts. It suits someone who doesn't mind repetition and can keep track of where everything's supposed to go, even when things get hectic.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming packages by size, type, or destination
• Scanning items and matching them against manifests
• Routing sorted items to the correct bin, cart, or conveyor line
• Flag mismatched or damaged items instead of letting them through
• Keeping the sorting area clear and organized between waves
• Restocking bins, carts, or labels as supplies run low
• Loading sorted items onto pallets or carts for the next step
• Reporting equipment issues, like a jammed conveyor, right away

Qualifications

• You keep track of where things go even when several carts are moving at once.
• When the pace picks up, you're able to stay focused instead of getting rattled.
• Basic computer or scanner skills are helpful, since most sorting is tracked electronically.
• You communicate clearly with teammates, especially when something needs to be flagged or rerouted.
• Being reliable and showing up for scheduled shifts is something we count on.
• If something doesn't look right with a shipment, you're willing to double check it instead of letting it slide.
• A friendly team works better together, so getting along with coworkers matters here.
• You're willing to learn the sorting system quickly and adjust as volume changes throughout the day.

Pay: $24.98 - $30.09 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 67.0 per week
