Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're hiring a Warehouse Sorter to help keep product moving through our facility each shift. You'll spend most of your time sorting incoming items by type, size, or destination, and routing them to the right area or bin. It's steady, repetitive work, and it moves quickly once the trucks start arriving. Some shifts are calmer, others have you sorting nonstop for hours, so the ability to multitask comes in handy. You'll also check items against manifests, flag anything that looks off, and keep your sorting station tidy between waves. Generally, you're on your feet for most of the shift, moving between bins and carts. It's a good fit for someone who doesn't mind repetition and can keep things moving without losing track of where everything goes.

Responsibilities

• Sorting incoming packages by size, type, or destination
• Scanning items and matching them to manifests
• Routing sorted items to the correct bin, cart, or conveyor line
• Flag mismatched or damaged items for a supervisor, and set them aside rather than sending them through
• Keeping the sorting area clear and organized between waves
• Restocking bins, carts, or labels as supplies run low
• Loading sorted items onto pallets or carts for the next step
• Reporting equipment issues, like a jammed conveyor, right away

Qualifications

• You're able to keep track of where things go even when several carts are moving at once.
• When the line speeds up, you're able to stay focused instead of getting rattled.
• Basic computer or scanner skills are helpful, since most sorting is tracked electronically.
• You communicate clearly with teammates, especially when something needs to be flagged or re-routed.
• Being reliable and showing up for scheduled shifts is something we count on.
• If something doesn't look right with a shipment, you're willing to double check it instead of letting it slide.
• A friendly team works better together, so getting along with coworkers matters here.
• You're willing to learn the sorting system quickly and adjust as volume changes throughout the day.

Pay: $24.61 - $29.64 per hour

Expected hours: 33.0 – 67.0 per week
