Warehouse Sorter

Job Summary

We're looking for a Warehouse Sorter to keep packages moving to the right place. You'll spend your shift at the sorting area, reading labels and placing items into the correct bins or onto pallets. It's physical work, you'll be on your feet most of the shift, and the pace often picks up when a truck arrives. Short breaks happen between loads. Sorting accuracy matters here because one misplaced box can hold up an order for a day, so we'd rather you slow down and double-check a label than guess.

Responsibilities

• Sorting packages by destination or label code.
• Scan each item as it comes off the belt.
• Pallet and cart loading throughout the shift.
• Breaking down empty pallets and flattening cardboard, which sometimes piles up faster than you'd think, so keep the aisles clear as you go.
• Report damaged or unlabeled items to the shift lead.
• End-of-shift sweeping.

Qualifications

• You notice small things, like a smudged label or a wrong zone code, even when the line is moving quickly.
• Being comfortable with a handheld scanner or a computer screen is enough for looking up where a package belongs.
• If you can read English well enough to follow labels and posted signs, you'll generally do fine here.
• Showing up on time for scheduled shifts matters, since the next person on the line depends on it.
• Staying organized in a fast-paced environment helps, especially when several trucks arrive close together.
• When something gets mislaid, you work out where it went wrong and tell the lead, and you're open to learning how we do things.

Pay: $25.60 - $30.42 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 80.0 per week
