About the role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Specialist to support our Malaysia warehouse operations serving a fast-paced marine service environment. This is a small and highly operational warehouse team, so the successful candidate will need to be independent, reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of daily warehouse activities while working closely with Service Operations, Supply Chain and other internal stakeholders. The role covers the full range of warehouse activities, including inventory control, SAP transactions, inbound and outbound shipments, container stuffing and unstuffing, and the handling and identification of Life Rafts and other marine equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, staging and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate physical and system inventory records and perform regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Perform Goods Receipt, Goods Issue and Stock Transfer transactions through SAP.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely, where authorised.
- Maintain proper storage, identification, segregation and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
- Prepare and maintain delivery notes, packing lists and other warehouse documentation.
- Support container stuffing and unstuffing activities for Life Rafts and other marine equipment.
- Verify Life Raft type/model, quantity, vessel name and serial number against the relevant Service Order and supporting documentation before loading or unloading.
- Ensure Life Rafts for different vessels or Service Orders are correctly identified and segregated to prevent misallocation or cross-shipment.
- Immediately identify and escalate discrepancies relating to product identification, vessel allocation, serial number, quantity, condition or documentation.
About you
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in warehouse operations, inventory control or logistics.
- Good working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/WMS systems.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling serial-number-controlled products and shipment documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
