Warehouse Staff - On Call

Warehouse Staff’s main roles are receiving Raw and Packaging Materials (RPM) deliveries, issuing RPMs to Production and other requesting departments, counting returned items coming from Production, and putting them away to respective locations.

Raw and Packaging Materials (RPM) Transactions

RPM/FG Receiving Custodian

Responsible for the receipt of all raw and packaging materials (RPM):

• Checks the temperature of raw materials prior to receiving.

• Ensures that deliveries of raw materials are within the specified temperature requirements before acceptance.

• Verifies that all received raw and packaging materials are included in the delivery list, as instructed by the Team Leader (TL)/Officer-in-Charge (OIC).

• Ensures that all deliveries of raw and packaging materials undergo Quality Inspection prior to receiving and provides final remarks on the status indicated in the QIC.

• Unloads, pallets, and physically inspects materials for:

  • Dirt or contamination
  • Deformity or damage to packaging
  • Alterations in packaging (e.g., paper bags with shrink wrap or broken seals)
  • Leaks
  • Rust

• Immediately informs the TL/OIC and QA of any non-conformance identified in the unloaded raw and packaging materials and waits for further instructions.

• Conducts proper counting of specific raw and packaging materials.

• Declares any short quantities in the receiving report and informs the TL/OIC accordingly.

• Puts away raw and packaging materials in their specified storage conditions and locations.

Responsible for the transfer and/or dispatch of approved Finished Goods (FG):

• Creates delivery receipts based on the FG priority list provided by the TL/OIC.
• Ensures that the HN truck compartment meets the required temperature before loading finished goods for dispatch.
• Requires the HN driver/helper to record the truck temperature on the truck manifest, which must be signed by QA.
• Ensures that a balance of FG loading is completed prior to loading the finished goods.
• Ensures that delivery receipts contain complete and accurate details, including expiry dates and lot numbers.
• Coordinates with QA regarding any discrepancies between the FG quantity and the pre-shipment approved tag.
• Ensures proper allocation of approved FG for South Distribution and verifies that transferred FG have the corresponding documents upon allocation and transfer.

Raw Material (RM) Custodian

Responsible for picking and dispensing raw materials:

• Picks raw materials based on the FGPO issued on the PS and the raw materials listed on the MIS.
• Ensures that picked/prepared raw materials are based on the FGPO prior to dispensing.
• Ensures that issued raw materials correspond to the FGPO as listed prior to dispensing.
• Ensures that FIFO or FEFO procedures are consistently followed.
• Ensures that returned raw materials after dispensing are properly weighed to verify the exact quantity dispensed.
• Weighs and computes the quantity of RM issued versus the quantity returned to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Ensures that there are no spillages of raw materials upon return and verifies that the percentage of allowable spillage is within the prescribed limit of below 1%.
• Puts away returned materials in their specified storage locations.
• Reads and records the temperature of storage locations as part of the shared responsibility with QA personnel.
• Immediately informs QA and the TL/OIC of any deviation from the required storage temperature.
• Assists QA RM personnel in the issuance of QA samples prior to dispensing.
• Assists inventory personnel with the raw materials required for inventory counting.
• Coordinates with the RPM/FG Receiving Custodian prior to putting away raw materials in their specified storage locations.

PM/Label Custodian

Responsible for picking and issuing packaging materials (PM) and labels:

• Picks PM/label materials based on the approved picking list, such as the FGPO and MIS.
• Ensures that picked/prepared PM and label materials correspond to the approved picking list.
• Ensures that picked materials are accurate in quantity based on the picking list.
• Ensures that required labels are properly weighed or counted prior to picking.
• Ensures that issued materials are counter-checked by the Production Material Handler and properly signed on the FGPO.
• Ensures that all returned materials are counted and verified against the FGPO to confirm completeness of the returned quantity.
• Informs the TL of any discrepancy between issued and returned PM/label materials.
• For returned labels, checks and weighs the empty label cores again and records the results on the FGPO.
• Ensures that returned issued labels are properly counted through weighing.
• Puts away returned materials in their specified storage locations.
• Ensures that FIFO procedures are followed.
• Reads and records the temperature of storage locations as part of the shared responsibility with QA personnel.
• Immediately informs QA and the TL/OIC of any deviation from the required storage temperature.
• Assists QA PM personnel in the issuance of QA samples prior to inspection.
• Assists inventory personnel with materials required for inventory counting.
• Coordinates with the RPM/FG Receiving Custodian prior to putting away packaging and label materials in their specified storage locations.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate/College graduate
• Has basic knowledge of safety
• Physically fit and strong to be able to lift heavy items manually
