Warehouse Stock Controller

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our hardware retail team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and control stock levels across the store and warehouse
• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts
• Receive stock and verify quantities against invoices and delivery notes
• Investigate and report stock variances, shortages and overages
• Ensure all stock movements are accurately captured on the system
• Monitor damaged, returned and obsolete stock
• Assist with stock transfers between departments or branches
• Maintain accurate stock records and filing
• Work closely with receiving, dispatch, sales and purchasing departments
• Identify slow-moving and fast-moving stock
• Assist with monthly and annual stocktakes
• Ensure stock is correctly labelled, stored and accounted for
• Help minimise stock losses and improve stock accuracy

REQUIREMENTS

Previous Stock Controller / Inventory Controller experience is essential
Experience within a hardware, building materials or retail environment will be highly advantageous
Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience working with a stock/inventory management system
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
Honest, reliable and responsible
Good communication and organisational skills

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
