Warehouse Stocker

Position Information

• Location: Tiger Commissary Warehouse – 38197 Commercial Court Slidell, LA 70458

Responsibilities

• Stock pick line shelves & maintain proper inventory levels so that orders may be pulled in an efficient & safe manner
• Unpack, inspect & route incoming shipments. Reject damaged product and accurately record shortages
• Stock pick line shelves as needed
• Maintain inventory of all shipping materials & supplies
• Prepare shipping documents
• Assemble & pack product containers
• Prepare & affix shipping labels on cartons, pallets, etc.
• Maintains cleanliness & sanitation in the distribution center
• Follow all safety procedures in order to meet federal & state standards
• Operate a motor vehicle, forklift & pallet jack
• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

• Forklift driving certification required
• One year of demonstrated warehouse shipping & receiving experience
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as manuals & instructions
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working knowledge of computer, internet & email. Familiar with Microsoft products
• Must be able to accurately count & record inventory
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle & forklift
• Excellent customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computer, internet & email. Familiar with Microsoft products
• Ability to performs basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Ability to hear & receive normal conversations & information
• Average visual abilities necessary to read customer orders & mileage logs
• Good organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well with others with excellent oral & written communication skills
• Dependable & able to meet time deadlines
• Good Problem Solver
• Ability to climb ladders as needed
• Working knowledge of computer, internet & email. Familiar with Microsoft products

Preferred Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
