Warehouse Storekeeper

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Storekeeper to join the team at DCB in Forestville NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Storekeeper, you will be responsible for managing inventory, organising stock, and ensuring that all items are stored safely and accessibly. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, directly supporting the smooth flow of goods through our distribution network and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receiving, inspecting and recording incoming goods and materials tools/plant and equipment into the warehouse management system

• Organising and storing inventory in designated locations, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space

• Maintaining accurate records of stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts

• Picking and packing tools for dispatch, ensuring tools are ready and complete

• Labelling, tagging and cataloguing items according to warehouse procedures

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

• Operating warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks as required

• Test and tag tools as needed

• Reporting and arranging repairs and maintenance to management

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse or storage environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer skills
• Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move items regularly throughout the shift
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it (desirable)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and commitment to maintaining workplace safety standards
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain compliance with company policies
