Warehouse Supervisor & Relief Driver

Total Office is an independently owned office supplies and workplace refreshments business, supplying companies in and around central London. We employ around 35 people, so we're large enough to have an established operation, but small enough that one person can genuinely make a difference.

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor & Relief Driver to join our warehouse and delivery team.

The Role

This is primarily a warehouse-based role, working alongside our Warehouse Manager in our modern 7,000 sq. ft warehouse. You'll help with picking, stock control, incoming deliveries and preparing orders for our daily delivery routes.

You'll also cover our delivery drivers for approximately 20 weeks of the year and deputise for the Warehouse Manager during holidays and absence.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Stock

• Pick and prepare customer orders
• Receive, check and book in stock
• Load vehicles and prepare daily deliveries
• Assist with stock control, rotation and inventory
• Help keep the warehouse organised and efficient

Driving & Supervisory Cover

• Cover established delivery routes during driver holidays and absence
• Deliver orders and collect customer returns
• Carry out routine vehicle checks
• Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required
• Help organise warehouse staff and drivers when deputising
• Act as a keyholder when required

What We're Looking For

This role could suit an experienced warehouse or logistics professional looking for greater responsibility, or an experienced delivery driver looking to move into a more warehouse-based role while still spending part of the year on the road.

We're looking for someone reliable, organised and industrious who enjoys getting things done and is comfortable taking responsibility when required.

You'll need:

• Warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
• A full UK driving licence
• An understanding of stock control and inventory
• Good organisational and general computer skills
• The physical fitness required for a hands-on role

Previous supervisory experience and a forklift licence would be an advantage but aren't essential. Forklift training can be provided.

Some flexibility is expected during busy periods, occasionally requiring an earlier start or later finish.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
