Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily activities related to shipping, receiving, inventory management, and process improvements. Your leadership will ensure that our warehouse runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a team environment focused on safety, efficiency, and quality performance.
• Manage transportation logistics using transportation management systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to coordinate shipments effectively.
• Oversee the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with safety standards.
• Implement process improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the supply chain.
• Monitor profit & loss (P&L) statements related to warehouse operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and internal departments to streamline shipping & receiving processes and optimize warehouse space utilization.
• Maintain accurate records using ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms, ensuring data integrity for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits to promote a secure working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

• Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or logistics setting with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics processes, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred or must be obtainable upon hire.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives aimed at continuous operational enhancements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret profit & loss data for operational decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
