What they need
WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR — Quartz Slab Warehouse
Coante USA Inc. | East Brunswick, NJ 08816 | Full-Time, On-Site | $26.00–$32.00 per hour
This is the lead role on our warehouse floor. If you want to keep working with your hands but also want to be the person who sets the pace, checks the work, and keeps the floor safe, this is that job. You'll report to the Warehouse Manager and run the day-to-day flow alongside the crew.
About Us
Coante USA Inc. supplies quartz slabs to fabricators, contractors, and dealers in New Jersey and the surrounding region. We are a small, direct team where the work is visible and the person doing it gets credit for it. Our East Brunswick warehouse is the center of the business.
About the Role
The Warehouse Supervisor is the lead floor supervisor for receiving, inventory movement, staging, loading, housekeeping, and safe material handling. The role is genuinely hands-on: you are expected to help perform the warehouse work while coordinating employees and daily priorities. Twelve months in, receiving and loading run on repeatable checklists, slab counts match the records, and newer employees have been trained the right way because you trained them.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily floor activity — receiving, slab movement, rack placement, order staging, loading, and customer/carrier pickups.
- Assign work as directed by the Warehouse Manager and monitor completion, accuracy, productivity, and safe work practices.
- Verify slab counts, SKU and location information, condition, labels, and order documentation during receiving and shipping.
- Operate forklifts and approved slab-handling equipment safely, and hold other operators to the same standard.
- Review outbound orders before loading — quantities, product identity, condition, and supporting paperwork.
- Train employees on warehouse procedures, PPE, equipment use, loading practices, and company SOPs.
- Maintain daily checklists, equipment inspection records, receiving and shipping logs, and support cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Support opening/closing routines, warehouse security, and access controls as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Forklift and material-handling experience; ability to obtain and maintain required operator certification.
- Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and willingness to both follow and enforce safety procedures.
- Basic ability to use email, spreadsheets, inventory records, and shipping/receiving documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, drivers, customers, and management.
Preferred
- Warehouse, distribution, logistics, stone/slab, or building-material experience.
- Prior lead, team-lead, or supervisory experience.
- Experience with damage documentation, inventory reconciliation, or claims support.
- Additional languages.
Physical Requirements
Regular warehouse work around heavy quartz slabs, forklifts, racks, trucks, and active loading. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling. Heavy slabs are moved only with approved equipment and procedures. Required use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- $26.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on a standard 40-hour workweek. Rate within the range depends on experience and qualifications.
- Overtime eligible, paid in accordance with applicable federal and New Jersey wage-and-hour law.
- Paid time off accruing at 8 hours per month, beginning after 60 days of employment.
- Eligibility for company healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
- Eligibility to participate in the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
Benefit eligibility, effective dates, employee contributions, enrollment requirements, and other terms are governed by the applicable plan documents and Company policies.
